Lakka with own words

Lakka was from Mila's first litter so she was Sintti's full sister.
She was very small, only 50 cm high, but that's the high of original Belgian!
As young dog Lakka was reserved against people, but later she was open mind dog.
She was always happy and the whole body moved with her tail. Always, when I
had a bad day, I looked at Lakka and the sun was shining again.
Lakka frequently had her ears up, they always were down, for happy.
She got nick name miss Sunny and she really was it.

We trained tracking and search. She had amazing tracking nose
but I didn't succes to teach her how to give me the sticks. We started also Agility,
and that was what we made together as a team. Lakka was sure but too slowly to
compete in the highest level.

In August 2006 in the middle of the night I woke up by noises. I jumped up and saw one of our dogs
cramped on the floor. It was Lakka and she had grand mal -epilepsy seizure. Next day I took
her to the vet and some blood tests was made. Results wasn't OK. During the next days she had
headache (I supposed so) and she just slept in the same place keeping her eyes closed.
I took her again to the vet for eye specialist, who told that optic nerves were bigger than normally.
She wrote us admission note to Aisti for more examinations. On the Friday of the same week
Lakka's brain was examined by MRI and there was a brain tumour. What a terrible news.

Lakka lived about 1,5 years after the diagnosis. She really was in good conditition, thanks for the cortisone.
Between April and May 2007 Lakka started to get seizures many times in one day and
after the seizures she was like a drug user and she was really tired. It was time to make the last service.
It was time to give up and let her go. On the next day I took her to the work (I work on the vet) for the last trip.
Lakka's leaving was calm, and luckily she didn't get any seizures during the put down. I got the permission to listen
the last heartbeats, miss Sunny was gone....
